The Falken Eurowinter HS449 is a performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model also has some touring sizes as well.

Falken offers a road hazard warranty with this tire. Road hazard damage is harm caused to the tire during its performance. It can occur in the form of punctures, bruises, or impact breaks when the tire is driven in normal driving conditions on a federal, state, and/or locally maintained road. Falkens road hazard covers the first 3/32nds of the tires tread life or 2 years from the date of purchase (whichever comes first). The road hazard warranty is honored if the damage is unrepairable per the USTMA puncture repair guidelines. Additional restrictions and fees may apply.

The tire offers exceptional winter weather traction. The silica-based tire compound and the special 3D Canyon Siping design ensure a safer driving experience in winter weather by promoting superb road gripping ability even on snow and ice-covered road surfaces. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves eliminate water and slush from below the tire footprint, enhancing the hydroplaning resistance. The special high void directional tread design with the multiple wide lateral grooves improve the steering responsiveness and driving stability.
